drifting

Drifting is currently one of the most popular and fastest-growing motorsport discipline in the world. It is all about spectacular driving, using oversteer to get the vehicle to go sidways. Drifting competitions are divided in two parts which are individual runs (qualifications) and driving in pairs, (so-called battles) – finals. Drifting is judged based on certain criteria as angle, line, speed and style. During battles, a knock-out system is being used, where only one driver from each pair can win and advance to the next stage of the competition or during semi-finals and finals – secure a podium place. Drifting competitions are extremely spectacular and are being held at racing tracks or specially prepared courses. The competition and watching drivers go head-to-head in their often 1000+ horsepower cars is an amazing experience which provides emotions like no other motorsport, for both spectators watching live and on TV/live-broadcasts.
